Temple Newsam Circular

January 1 @ 10:00 am GMT

On New Year’s Day we will be taking a leisurely stroll around the Temple Newsam estate to welcome in 2020, the year of perfect vision. Why not kick off your year with good intent and join us for a little light exercise and a lot of fresh air?

We will meet at 10.30am at the bottom car park (take the left fork when entering the estate from the Selby Road end) and embark upon a 6 mile circular walk, more or less around the perimeter of the estate. For those who may still be a little rough around the edges after their New Year’s Eve excesses, there are options to leave the walk at a couple of points to reduce the distance to 3½ or 4¼ miles.

The café is open from 11am until 3pm, so you can treat yourself to lunch or some light refreshments after the walk.

The usual caveats apply regarding appropriate footwear, clothing, snacks & drinks etc. Expect some mud! However the current forecast is for it to remain dry right through New Year’s Day, with a couple of decent days with sunshine followed by a cooler and more overcast (albeit still dry) day on NYD.

Please advise by email if you will be joining us, so we know to look out for you at the start.

Happy New Year to all!
